The 1, 2, 3 of Online Bidding

May 13, 2020

We are excited to resume selling personal property and liquidating estates via online timed and online live webcast auctions. These auctions will be held online via Invaluable, AuctionZip and our website. While this is a departure from our normal Estate/Monday auctions, we have been holding online webcast auctions for the last 10 years for our Specialty auctions – with great success. Moving forward, we will be utilizing both live online auctions (which can be webcast), as well as timed online only “eBay” style auctions. What does this mean for you? It means we will be able to bring you all the fun, bargains, and competitive spirt of our live auctions right to your living room.

The process is easy. First, you need to register for a fee account with our live bidding partners Invaluable, AuctionZip and Hibid (available on our website). Once you have signed up you can place bids in any of our available auctions.

Timed auctions (eBay style auctions) are open for bidding for a period of time and begin to close on the closing date at the rate of 1 lot per minute. These auctions have a staggered close, which means that if a bid is placed within the last minute before the lot is sold, the closing time will extend for an additional minute. Winners will be notified after the auction and payment will be due upon invoice receipt.

Live online webcast auctions will also be available for our main gallery showcased and furniture items. After you have registered with our bidding partners, you may leave absentee pre-bids immediately and leading up to the time the lot is sold. Once bidding is live, you can bid live in real time just as if you were bidding on the floor. Your bids will be executed competitively against the absentee bids, the other online bidding platforms and telephone bids. As always, the highest bidder is the buyer. After the auction, invoices will be sent via email and payment is due upon invoice receipt.

We will also accept in house absentee and telephone bids.

Bidders wishing to preview items may do so by scheduling an appointment during our open house hours. These open houses will be conducted on a first call, first scheduled basis with a limited number of people in our facility. All must wear masks and observe social distancing. Please see individual auction ad for specific dates and times.

We hope to see all our regular bidders signing up to bid with us in our spring/summer auctions. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. We will be happy to walk you through any questions you might have. We appreciate your continued support as we try to navigate our new normal and we look forward to seeing you (virtually) at our annual Memorial Day Auction.
