Gaining Momentum: Gateway Gallery Auction Fills New Positions, Promotes Blair Young to Marketing Director

CHAMBERSBURG – Gateway Gallery Auction, an industry leader in personal property and specialty auctions, announced the promotion of Blair Young to Marketing Director, as well as the addition of James Harding and Emily Heckman, further filling out its team of auction professionals.

Blair Young has been with Gateway since January 2016, serving as Marketing Assistant. As Marketing Director, she will take on the development and implementation of the company’s marketing strategies, communications and public relations activities including social networking and online platforms. Young graduated from Shippensburg University in 2012 with a B.A. in Communications/Journalism focused on Public Relations. “Over the past two years, I have learned a lot about the auction industry and its current trends. It’s been great getting to know our clients within the auction community. As Marketing Director I look forward to creating and spearheading Gateway’s marketing strategies.” says Young.

James Harding will take on the role of Properties Acquisitions Manager.  He brings 15 years of property handling and moving experience to his new position at Gateway. “Jim truly understands who we are as a Company and is a perfect fit to help our organization move forward,” said Gateway President Heather Kohler. “I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for our company and its people and look forward to working with Jim as we stay committed to delivering outstanding auction services to our clients.”

Emily Heckman joined the team at Gateway as Executive Assistant in September 2017. Emily assists with organizing and coordinating executive outreach and assists with various projects, including social media. Emily graduated from Shippensburg University in 2017 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Geography and Earth Science. She served with the Renfrew Institute for Cultural and Environmental Studies as an intern. In her spare time, she prepares and performs education programs for various National Park Service sites and the US Army Heritage and Education Center. “I am thrilled to join the team at Gateway. An auction house is an exciting work environment for someone like myself with a background in history. I enjoy being able to share my knowledge with coworkers and clients alike whether it’s during the set-up and cataloging process, or on auction day talking with clients,” Emily explains.
