Gateway Gallery Auction is honored to auction property from the Jeff Barnhart Estate, the beloved local artist practiced many mediums during his career, including landscapes, portraits and still-life renderings, and his work has been included in exhibitions at the Pastel Society of America, New York, NY and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown, Md., as well as being featured in art galleries in Washington, DC, Bethesda, Md., New York City, NY and Lancaster.

Artwork, furniture, decorations, books and more from his home will be sold Monday, January 5. Bidders attending the auction can easily identify Barnhart Estate items but looking for items marked with a round green sticker.

Barnhart passed away in October at Mercy House in Chambersburg. According to his obituary, “He did not squander a single moment of his 76 years and was recognized for his vibrant personality, boundless creativity and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures – nature’s beauty, music, travel, food, and the cherished friendships he built along the way.” [full obituary here]
